Glass Around The Nation

Sharing My Love for the Craft

I love to travel and lecture internationally! My Artist-In-Residence was through the Pittsburgh Glass Center in Pittsburgh, PA where I was humbly a part of “Breaking Through: Moving Forward” in the Hodge Gallery with three other women artists in 2014. In my work, I investigate the rise and fall of our country’s economy while preserving the history in the permanent material of glass. These objects become a recollection of the past, bringing to attention how much we have changed as human beings and how much technology has transformed our lives.

Glass Artist of the Year in Cincinnati

Finalist for the Niche Award in Philadelphia.

Teaching The Art

Education is the Key to Keeping the Craft Alive

I received my BFA in Photography from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and my MFA in Glass from Alfred University. Since then, I have taught at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and at Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania prior to accepting the position here at Southern Illinois University. I currently am an Assistant Professor of Practice in Glass.
